Celebrating the Next Generation of Financial Planners ✨

 

21 January 2026, our Vice President, Dr. Chester Chu, along with the champion of the 2025 Hong Kong Outstanding Undergraduate Financial Planner Competition, was invited by the Hong Kong Economic Journal for an exclusive interview.

 

The discussion focused on the outcomes of last year’s competition and the current gap in financial literacy within Hong Kong’s education system. Both shared valuable insights on the importance of equipping young minds with financial planning knowledge.

 

Co-organized by the Hong Kong Association of Financial Advisors (HKAFA) and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified ESG Strategists (HKICES), the competition attracted over 500 students from 111 teams across 12 local universities. The overwhelming response highlights the growing interest among young people in financial planning and underscores its vital role in building a sustainable and secure future.
