In the wake of a recent surge in the number of COVID-19 infected cases and the call by the government to escalate social distancing measures, the council of the Society of Registered Financial Planners has resolved to suspend this year’s signature event “The Undergraduate Financial Planners of the Year Award 2020”. The council of the Society expressed deep regret in making such a decision after holding the event for 10 consecutive years but the health issues and the well-being of our students always come first as there will be over 300 undergraduates participating in our lecture workshop, as well as over 100 participants from the students, judges, guests and media attending the final round competition and award ceremony.
