Broadcasting Programme of Financial Education Course for Elderly The Society has co-operate with Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Healthy Budgeting Family Debt Counselling Centre to cultivate healthy budgeting and investment values to family and elderly through a series of financial education programmes including community exhibition, financial talks and educational groups. There will be a series of Broading Programme of financial education and talks for Elderly at the Radio Television Hong Kong in Augest and September 2006. A Kick off ceremony will be organised at the Assembly Hall of the Radio Television Hong Kng on Friday, 18 August 2006 2:30 p.m. HKICPA - Play Street 2006 The Society in support to the Play Street 2006 organized by Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. $10,000 donated to HKICPA. Money raised will go to support HKICPA's Charitable Fund and Playright Children Play Association in aid of its play development and other charitable programmes in Hong Kong. Our Vice President Alex Lung attended the event held on December 10 2006 at the Chater Road, Pedestrian Precinct. Donation ceremony Caring Company Award by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service HKRFP was named CARING COMPANY which organised by The Hong Kong Council Social Service. Mr. Sidney Sze and Michael Fan received the Award presented by Mr. Henry Tang GBS, JP, The Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region during HKCSS 60th anniversary ceremony on February 8 2007. Financial Planning Ambassador program with Tung Wah Group Hospital Tung Wah Group of Hospitals ("TWGH"), Healthy Budgeting Family Debt Counselling Centre and the Society has jointly organised a Financial Planning program for senior citizens. Senior citizens rely on the retirement funds from MPF, pension, savings, passive income or even no income. Therefore, they have to manage their funds on hand very carefully, since they do not have any recurring income. The program is administrated by TWGH, the Society recruit HKRFP volunteers as Financial Planning Ambassadors to support the program. All Financial Planning Ambassadors have to attend the training workshop before they are on duty. HKRFP members who wish to join the program may contact Miss Carrie Lai - Administrative Officer of the Society. The program activities include: 1. Community Education Seminars 2. Small group seminars 3. Individual counselling 4. Exhibition 5. Senior citizens hot line counselling 6. Booklet - Tips for healthy financial planning for senior citizens. The program will be conducted between Sept 05 to Nov 05.
